How to Make Breakfast Banana Bread
Banana bread is one of the easiest types of breads to make. It is delicious for breakfast, and is a healthy alternative to sugary cereals. Most people throw out their bananas when they turn brown, not realizing that the bananas can be used to make a tasty loaf of bread. Things You'll Need
- 1 2/3 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 1/2 ripe bananas
- 2 tbsp. sour cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2/3 cup walnuts (optional)
- 9-by-5 inch loaf pan
- Cooking spray
- Mixing bowls
- Whisk or fork
- Mixing spoon

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

Spray a 9-by-5 inch loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Beat the sugar and eggs in a large bowl with a whisk or fork until their consistency is light and fluffy.

Sift together the flour, salt and baking soda in a bowl.

Mash the bananas with a fork or potato masher.

Add the mashed bananas, oil, sour cream and vanilla to the the sugar and egg mixture and mix well.

Mix in the dry ingredients and pour mixture into the prepared loaf pan.

Put bread in the preheated oven and bake for one hour and 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out of the center clean. Allow to cool before serving.

Tips & Warnings
If you like nuts in your bread, add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the mixture when the dry ingredients are added. Cut down on the fat by substituting 1/4 cup of applesauce for the 1/2 cup of oil.
