How to Convert a DVD Movie to an HP

The HP Slate 500 tablet PC is popular for its mobility but comes with a significant drawback. Unlike laptop computers, it lacks any disk drives, which makes it impossible to watch DVDs in a conventional fashion. With the proper DVD conversion software, though, HP Slate 500 users can watch any DVDs they please.

• DVD conversion software
• DVD
• HP Slate 500

Instructions

1. Download a DVD converting software. Popular software of this type includes Cucusoft DVD Ripper and Ojosoft DVD Audioripper (see the Resources section). After downloading your software, follow the prescribed installation process.

2. Insert a DVD into your disk drive. Open your DVD ripping software. Click on the "Open DVD" option at the top of your software's window.

3. Select the format you would like your DVD to be converted to. The HP Slate 500 accepts AVI, WMV or MP4.

4. Click "Convert" to begin the conversion process.

5. Save your newly converted file to a memory stick and transfer it to your HP.
