How to Make a Hibiscus Card
Make handmade hibiscus cards for a tropical party or make a box of hibiscus thank you cards to give out as gifts. Hibiscus is the state flower of Hawaii. This tropical species displays vivid colors of pink, purple, red, yellow, orange, white and blue. You can make this card a number of different ways. Draw the flower on the front of the card if you have artistic ability or use stamps. However, you can also make this card with real pressed hibiscus flowers.

1
Place real hibiscus flowers in between two sheets of wax paper and heavy books. Allow the flowers to sit for three days so that the hibiscus becomes fully pressed. Do this with as many flowers as you like. Designate at least one flower for each card.
-
2
Glue the pressed hibiscus flower on an 8-by-10 card. You need large cards for this type of flower because hibiscus species are usually more than 4 inches wide.

Use markers to write your message on the blank space seen on the card. You can say "Thank You," "Get Well Soon," or some other type of sentiment. Write another message on the inside of the card as well. Use flower stamps or draw more flowers on the inside of the card.

4
Spray a thin coat of glitter spray glue on the outside of the card to add a bit of sparkle to your pressed hibiscus flower.
-
5
Allow the glue to dry before packaging up your card.
