Click on one of the links in the "Resources" section to access an online crossword puzzle generator.

Type in the crossword puzzle title, your name and the description of the puzzle's theme. Enter a value for the computation time, number of cells, and minimum number of groups within the puzzle.

Select between black or gray squares. Change your font to all capital letters, if appropriate. Click "Yes" in the "Remove spaces in words" tab to create a consistent look throughout the puzzle. Choose to receive a PDF version of your crossword puzzle for convenience. Modify the font style and background image color to create a more aesthetically pleasing crossword.

Input your words in the "Word" column and write corresponding clues in the adjacent column for your puzzle. Review your information to check for spelling errors. Click on the "Make Puzzle" button to generate your puzzle. Choose the "Printable PDF" button to open your puzzle in Adobe Reader.

Choose "File > Save As" in Adobe Acrobat. Select the JPEG image export option from the pull-down list. Click "Settings" to open and modify your options. Click "OK" to convert the file.

Open the file in Image Preview or in a digital imaging program such as Adobe Photoshop. Insert borders, pictures from the image gallery and special characters, according to your preferences. Press "File > Save As." Select "File > Print" to print out your crossword puzzle. Use high-quality or colored printing paper for your puzzle.
