How to Post Yearbook Pictures to Facebook

How to Post Yearbook Pictures to Facebook thumbnail
Facebook has revolutionized the way we share photos.

A "facebook" is literally a directory of student photos and names. As such, it is fitting that the social networking site Facebook should be used to post yearbook photos. This task can be accomplished in a few easy steps, although uploading pictures may take some time, depending on the number and size of the photographs.

Instructions

    • 1

Save all yearbook photos in a single folder (on your computer, USB drive, CD-ROM or DVD).

    • 2

      Log onto Facebook.

    • 3

Create an album or a Facebook group specifically for the yearbook pictures. Creating a group for yearbook pictures allows students to join the group and comment on the pictures.

    • 4

Browse for and locate the folder with the pictures, select all and upload.

    • 5

Write a description for the album--or even each picture--and publish (share) the album. The album will now be posted on your profile or group.

Tips & Warnings

  • Instead of writing the names of each student for every photo, you can ask students to tag themselves in their own pictures. This will not only save you a lot of time, but will also prevent you from publishing the names of individuals who do not want their names posted in the album.

  • By posting yearbook pictures on Facebook, they may be visible to the public (including those who do not attend your school), even if you restrict your album/group settings.
