How to Spot a Fake Coach Carly Bag

The Coach Carly handbag is manufactured by Coach, Inc., an American leather goods company known for its high-quality handbags. Coach is a famous and expensive brand of handbags, so plenty of unscrupulous manufacturers make Coach Carly knock-offs that can fool even savvy shoppers. Look out for a few warning signs of a fake Coach bag when you are shopping for one.

Instructions

1. Determine if the letters on the bag are C's. Any other letters, such as O's or G's, indicates a knock-off.

2. Examine the layout of the signature C's on the design of the bag to see if they line up perfectly to the center. If the C's are cut off by the center line of the bag, then it is a fake. If all the C's are lined up perfectly, you have an authentic Coach Carly bag.

3. Examine how the C's are laid out on the bag. An authentic Coach Carly bag will always have two C's together as doubles, not as a single row of C's.

4. Check the sleeper or dust bag to see if it is a dark brown color with a red drawstring. If it is any other color, it is likely a fake. The bag should have the words COACH EST. 1941 in a raised white font on the bottom right of the bag.
