How to Disable the Factory Alarm on a 1999 Ford Expedition

The alarm flashes the lights and sounds the horn when triggered. To prevent the triggering of the alarm, you must disable it. You can re-enable the alarm system at any time.

Instructions

      Turn the ignition switch off.

    • 2

Press and hold the override button located under the dash on the driver's side.

    • 3

      Turn the ignition switch on.

    • 4

Release the override button when the security light on the instrument panel stops blinking and remains solid. The alarm is now disabled.
