How to Change Political Parties at the Polls
Voting is one of the most important things you can do as an American citizen. When you register to vote, the form allows you to choose whether you will vote as a Democrat, Republican, Independent, Green, Libertarian, or a number of other parties, depending on the state. You can also choose to remain unaffiliated, but you will not be able to participate in the primary elections for the specific parties. Although you cannot change your political affiliation at the polls, you can still vote for a candidate of any party when you go to the polls for a general election.
