Tips & Warnings

  • Under the "Cabins" listing on the Red River site, you may choose each lodging option individually. Each page will show a photograph and to the right of the photograph, in very small print, are a number of dollar signs. These dollar signs represent the price range of the cabins. Each increasing number of dollar signs indicates increasingly expensive cabin prices. It may be helpful to use this indicator to make your choice of cabin a little easier.

  • Even though New Mexico is known for being mostly a desert landscape, don't assume that it will be warm all year. Red River is a mountain town and the altitude will cool the temperature considerably all year round. In the summer, this is a good thing, but in the winter, this might get rather uncomfortable. Even if a cabin is heated, it may lose a lot of its heat if it is made of something like wood or stone.
