How to Make Mickey Mouse Headband Crafts
If your child loves Mickey Mouse, then you can craft a set of headbands that have those recognizable mouse ears. You can make these headbands in an afternoon with simple craft materials, such as felt and a hot glue gun. Guests to a Mickey Mouse-themed birthday party can take these headbands home as a gift.
Things You'll Need
- Plastic headband
- Black felt with adhesive backing
- Black permanent marker
- Round canister, such as an oatmeal canister
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Hot glue sticks
Instructions

1
Cut a length of black felt that is about 10 inches long and 2 1/4 inches wide. Test this strip on the headband. You may find that you need a shorter length of felt. Adjust accordingly.
-
2
Load a glue stick in your hot glue gun, plug it in and allow the glue to warm up.

3
Squeeze a line of glue down the length of the felt. Place the midpoint of the headband in the midpoint of the felt. Then, press the rest of the felt across the left and right sides of the headband. Smooth the felt as you press. Add extra glue if there are bumps in the felt once the first line of glue has dried.

4
Lay a piece of black felt with adhesive backing on your work space with the adhesive paper facing you. Trace the bottom of a circular oatmeal canister with a permanent black marker. You need four circles.
-
5
Peel off the adhesive backing, and stick the circles together so that you are left with two double-sided felt ears.
-
6
Attach the two ears to the headband with hot glue. Place the ears about 1 1/2 inches apart.
