How to Build a Pueblo House Model
Modeling a pueblo house is easier than other houses because you can make the model with clay, the same material that is used to make the house. You can shape the clay by hand, though a ruler is useful to ensure that the model is proportionate. You will have to bake the model in a kiln to make it keep its shape. When finished, you will have a realistic looking pueblo model house.

1
Sketch out a preliminary design for the model. The more prep work you do, the more likely the model will come out perfectly. Your design does not need to be intricate; this is just a rough sketch. Mark down measurements for the sides so you do not forget when you shape the actual clay model.

2
Shape the clay into a big ball. Kneed the ball repeatedly to ensure a good texture and a workable viscosity. Separate the big ball of clay into smaller balls, one for each wall and one for the roof. Smash the balls down and shape them into flat sheets by hand. Use the ruler to ensure that they conform to your sketch's measurements.

3
Press the walls and roof panels together. Press firmly to ensure that the clay bonds. Carve details into the walls and push out holes for the windows and door openings.

4
Put the clay model in a kiln and fire at 1,000 degrees F for two hours. Take the model out when the time is up. You can paint the model or add in figurines to make it even more realistic.
