How to Play a Computer Made DVD on Your Stereo
Typically, when using the DVD burner on your computer system you make either a video DVD or data DVD. However, there is always the option of saving songs to the disc and creating an audio DVD. Not all devices are capable of reading the disc, but when you find equipment that does, you can play far more songs off of an audio DVD than any CD is capable of holding.

1
Look in your stereo's owner's manual to see if it is capable of playing audio DVDs. Most recently created stereo systems do have this capability, but this is not guaranteed. In the section of the manual that explains acceptable formats it states whether the stereo plays audio DVDs. If the stereo does not support your audio DVD, it is not going to be able to read the disc. This is because the stereo doesn't understand the programming information on the disc.

2
Insert the audio DVD into the stereo's CD drive, if the owner's manual said it does accept audio DVDs.

3
Press the "Play" button and the stereo system begins to reproduce audio currently saved on the DVD.

4
Visit a local electronics store (or an online store) and look at the specifications of the stereo systems. You want one that states "audio DVD" in the accepted playback formats. Outside of purchasing a new stereo that supports DVD playback, there isn't anything else you can do, as you can't force a stereo into playing formats it doesn't understand.
