DIY Adult Princess Daisy Halloween Costume
Super Mario Brothers is one of the most well-known video games around. Even if you are not into gaming, you can probably recognize some of the more famous characters, such as Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach. Princess Daisy, one of Peach's friends, is not as well known, but if you are planning to dress like one of the characters from the game, she is a fun and unique choice. Although you could purchase a commercially made costume, making your own takes just a little effort.

- Ball gown with bustle
- Clothing dye
- White felt
- Hot glue
- Green gems
- Post earrings
- Gold crown
- Wig
- Curling iron
- Comb

- Hair gel

Purchase and dye a white ball gown with a bustle to match the look of Daisy's dress. Choose a yellow coloring for the base of the gown. Use orange for the bustle and add two rows of orange colored ruffles at the bottom of the dress. Leave the ruffles around the collar white. Use images of Princess Daisy to select the right style dress. Follow the directions for your clothing dye for appropriate use.

Draw a daisy shape on of a piece of white felt. It should measure approximately 3 inches in diameter. Cut it out. Use hot glue to attach a round green gem to the center of the daisy before gluing it to the front center of the dress, just below the neckline.

Draw and cut out two more daisy shapes. These two should be approximately 1.5 inches in diameter. Glue two round green gems into the center of the daisies. Hot glue a post earring back on the back of each of the daisies to create a pair of earrings.

Draw and cut out one more daisy shape. This one should have only four petals and be about 2 inches in diameter. Glue a round green gem in the center. Hot glue this daisy into the front center of a gold crown. You can find plastic crowns at costume supply stores.

Style a wig to look like Daisy's hair. It should be shoulder length. Pull the sides of the wig behind both ears. Use a curling iron to add an outward flip to the bottom of the wig. If the wig does not have a lot of volume to it, use a comb to back brush the base of the wig. If the wig does not have bangs, cut them onto it using scissors. Bring the bangs into two points like Princess Daisy's hair. If necessary, use hair gel or hair spray to make it stay.

Wear wrist-length white gloves with ruffles on them to finish the costume

Tips & Warnings
Princess Daisy wears minimal makeup. Choose natural colors and wear little of it. If desired, wear a pair of blue contact lenses to change your eye color to match hers.
The shoes will be covered by the dress. You can either dye shoes to match the dress or you can use anything you have in your closet since they will not be seen.
