How to Remove Tree Sap From Vinyl on a Pop-Up Camper

Pop-up campers offer outdoor enthusiasts a more cost-effective option that will allow them to enjoy the outdoors while still being protected from bugs and other unwanted visitors. A pop-up camper that is parked or stored underneath a tree may become covered with tree sap that can be removed from the vinyl camper top without causing damage. Tree sap on your camper can be avoided by keeping it covered or parked inside of a garage when not in use.

Things You'll Need

• Soft cloth
• Mineral spirits
• Garden hose
• Mild dish soap
• Plastic scrub brush

Instructions

1. Soak a soft cloth in mineral spirits, which is a general solvent.

2. Rub the affected area with the mineral spirits. The cloth can be soaked several times if there is a large amount of sap.

3. Apply the mineral spirits to the affected area until the tree sap is removed. Rinse away the mineral spirits with a garden hose.

4. Wash the vinyl cover with mild dish soap and a plastic scrub brush. This will remove any remaining mineral spirits and tree sap residue. Rinse off the soapy water with the hose.
