Step 1: Make the Large Paper Snowman's Body

Cut six circles from white poster board to create the paper snowman's body. Each circle will be a front or back piece. Cut two 24-inch circles from two sheets of poster board. Cut two 18-inch circles from two sheets of poster board. Cut two more circles from two poster boards that measure 12 inches. The largest circles are the bottom section of the snowman. The 18-inch circles will be used to create the center section, and the 12-inch circles will construct the snowman's face. Set the circles aside.

Step 2: Punch the Holes

Lay the circles that are the same size on top of each other. Punch holes around the edges of the poster board circles. Make sure to punch through both layers of poster board. Punch a hole 1 inch from the edge, add another hole every 2 inches all the way around the circular pieces.

Step 3: Cut and Lash the Yarn

Cut several yard lengths of yarn. Lash the front and back pieces of the snowman together with the yarn. Insert one end of the yarn through a hole and tie the yarn to itself. Continue to lash the pieces together, but leave several inches unsewn on each section.

Stuff the snowman pieces with fiber fill, and then lash the openings closed.

Step 5: Position the Circles

Lay the circles on a flat surface so that the pieces look like a snowman. Attach the three circles together by lashing the center section to the bottom and top circles.

Step 2: Paint the Snowman Pieces

Paint all of the snowman pieces with the icy-colored paint. Be careful not to paint the snowman's top hat. Let the paint dry.

Step 3: Paint a Carrot Nose

Paint a carrot-shaped nose into the center of the snowman's face. Add two black coal-shaped eyes above and to the side of the nose.
