• Silk material
• Pattern
• Tape measure
• Sewing machine

Instructions

1. Measure yourself or the person you are making the shirt for. Always be sure to take measurements from the neck to the waist including arm length, bust, and shoulders and around the waist to ensure the proper fit. Decide on the style of cuff and collar and also how you want the shirt to fit.

2. Decide where you are buying your material---online or a fabric store are both good options.

3. Use a pencil to mark where you need to cut along the fabric. Make light marks so as not to tear or rip the fabric. Make sure to start at the top and make your way down the material.

4. Cut your pattern out of the material and then use a sewing machine to make sure that your stitching is tight and won't rip or come apart at the seams.

5. Use the sewing machine after the shirt is completed to sew on the buttons or sew them on by hand.
