How to Find a Brownie Troop

Brownie troops provide young girls in the second and third grades with a chance to learn more about the world around them and the structure of the Girl Scout organization. According to the Girl Scouts of America website, Brownies engage in fun, educational activities such as camping, learning to swim, feeding animals at a zoo and organizing cookie drives. If you want to register your daughter with a local chapter or find a specific Brownie group, the Girl Scouts of America website can help you find troops throughout the country.

Instructions

1. Visit the Girl Scouts of the USA website at www.girlscouts.org.

2. Click on the "Find a Council" link at the top of the page.

3. Search for a Brownie troop by ZIP code, state or troop name using the appropriate search box along the right side of the screen.

4. Click "Search." Scroll through the results until you find the contact information for the Girl Scout group closest to you.

5. Contact the Girl Scout group in your area and ask about Brownie troop information.

6. Call the Girl Scouts of America. Call 1-800-478-7248 if the website does not work, or does not return a result for your area. If you are searching for a specific Brownie troop, tell the operator the troop number.
