How to Check on a FAFSA

You can check on the status of your FAFSA application for college tuition.

FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. You will need to file a FAFSA every year that you require financial aid. FAFSA offers a convenient online application to speed up the process. When you complete the online application, the system will send an email to the registered email address confirming the completion of the application. You can check on the status of your FAFSA application after it has been processed.

Instructions

1. Go to the FAFSA web page and select the "Start Now" button.

2. Enter your log-in info: first name, last name, Social Security number and date of birth. Click the "Next" button at the bottom of log in window.

3. Call the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-433-3243.
