How to Hang a Ferret Hammock
Ferret hammocks are hanging sleeping spaces for ferret cages. Some ferret hammocks come with extra flaps, providing the ferrets with an extra hiding place in its environment. The hammocks come in a variety of materials, including mesh and soft fleece. The hammocks have a strap coming out of each corner that terminates in a clip for attaching the hammock to the cage. Select an area in the cage to hang the hammock. It should be in an accessible area, such as near a podium or climbing surface in the cage. Do not hang it near the sides of the cages where the ferret could swing it into the sides and potentially injure itself.

Lift the lid of the ferret cage. Snap the four clips at the end of the hammock straps to the wires in the lid of the cage. Close the lid so the hammock swings freely in the cage.

Adjust the strap length if the hammock is too low or too high for the ferret to access it easily. Move the clips out or closer together to make the hammock tighter or give it more slack.
