Apple's iSync allows you to sync the contacts list on your Sony Ericsson with your iMac.

Apple's iSync application supports a large variety of Sony Ericsson mobile phone models to sync certain information stored on the device. Connect your phone to your iMac by using a USB cable and open the software to initiate the process of syncing the contacts list with your computer. If the particular model you own is supported by iSync, it will be detected and you will be presented options for customizing the information that will sync with your iMac.

Instructions

      Connect your Sony Ericsson phone to your iMac using a USB cable. Attach one end of the USB cable to your phone and plug the other end into an empty USB port on your iMac.

      Click the "Macintosh HD" icon located on the desktop to open the Finder. Click "Applications," located under "Places" in the left column. Locate "iSync" in the "Applications" folder and double-click its icon to open it.

      Click the "Sync Devices" icon in the iSync window to detect your Sony Ericsson phone.

      Double-click your Sony Ericsson phone when it appears in the "Add Device" window. Click the icon for the Sony Ericsson device; a window pane will appear with customization options for your device.

      Click the box next to "Contacts" to activate the syncing for your contacts list.

      Select any other options available in the sync customizations pane for your Sony Ericsson phone.

      Click "Sync Devices" to activate all sync customizations.

      Disconnect the USB cord from your iMac to remove your Sony Ericsson phone.
