Do it Yourself: Halloween Trophies Using a Pringles Can
It is Halloween, and you need a trophy. Whether it is to reward someone for having the best costume, or as an accessory to your sports-themed costume, being able to make a trophy out of a common household item, such as a Pringles can, is a great skill to have.
Things You'll Need
- Gold spray paint
- Black spray paint
- Hot glue gun
- Pringles can
- Paper bag with handles
- Sour cream or cream cheese plastic container
- Metallic permanent marker
Instructions

1
Empty both containers of all contents, and wash thoroughly in the sink.
-
2
Glue the bottom of the Pringles can to the bottom of the sour cream or cream cheese container. The lower plastic container will form the base of the trophy.
-
-
3
Remove the paper bag handles from the brown paper grocery bags. Place a dot of hot glue on one end of one paper handle, and glue to one of the sides of the Pringles can. Repeat with the other end of the handle, then repeat with the other paper bag handle on the opposite side of the can.

Cover the base of the trophy with the remains of the brown paper bag. In a spray room, garage or an area covered by newsprint, to protect the walls, spray paint the upper part of the trophy, including the lid of the Pringles can, using gold spray paint.
-
5
Cover the upper part of the trophy with the brown paper, then spray paint the base of the trophy black.
-
6
Write any specifics (name, award and year) onto the base of the trophy in a metallic pen.
