It's still possible to date women while living with your parents.

In this economy, more and more young adults find themselves graduating college, only to move back home because they don't have jobs. Although many people in their twenties and thirties are living with their parents to save money, it can still be awkward to ask a woman out when you don't have your own place. But it is possible to date women while living with your parents and still maintain an adult persona and lifestyle.

Instructions

Be honest. If the woman asks about your living situation, tell her the truth. But also tell her why. If you have a good reason for living with your parents, she will most likely understand. Good reasons might include saving money, taking care of a family member who needs help or transitioning during a move or career change.

Have a plan for moving out. A self-sufficient woman can still respect and admire someone who is living with his/her parents, as long as the living situation is temporary. So be looking for a job or making a real plan to move out of the house eventually and tell her about it.

Take her out on dates. Dating will go more smoothly if you are out together and not in your parents' living room watching a movie. If you are concerned about money, get creative with your dates. Go on picnics, walks and hikes. Take her bowling or mini-golfing and invite her over to a friend's house for a get together. Search the newspaper for community activities. Often there are free wine tastings and inexpensive theater or music events. She will enjoy herself so much that she won't notice or care how much money you're spending.

Have her meet your parents after you get to know each other. It would be too much pressure, and too awkward, to have her meet them on the first few dates. Pick her up at her place or meet her somewhere when the two of you go out, at least the first few times. Later, when both of you are ready, plan a meeting with your parents over dinner.

If things get serious, take her away for the weekend. Go out of town and stay at a bed and breakfast or plan a camping trip. Don't try to make arrangements to have her sleep over at your parents' house unless everyone is comfortable with it. Instead, focus on moving into your own place in the near future.
