Country style spare ribs can be cooked in the oven or in a slow cooker with barbecue sauce. Boneless ribs will be especially tender after cooking in a slow cooker all day, or after baking in the oven for a few hours. Although there many ways to make boneless country style spare ribs, if you want tender ribs, you need to spend some additional time cooking or baking them.

Slow Cooker Spare Ribs

Place the spare ribs in the slow cooker. Cook on high for three hours.

Use a turkey baster to suck out the juices from the slow cooker. Discard the drippings.

Pour store bought or homemade barbecue sauce into a bowl. Use a tong to remove each of the spare ribs from the slow cooker and place on a cookie sheet.

Use the tongs to pick up each spare and dunk it in the barbecue sauce. Place each piece into the slow cooker. Continue coating each piece.

Cover the slow cooker and set on low heat for three to four hours. The meat will be tender and have a good barbecue taste.

Tender Oven Baked Spare Ribs

Fill a Dutch oven with hot water. Place the country styled spare ribs in the water. Turn the heat on high and bring to a boil. Continue boiling for 20 minutes.

Remove the spare ribs from the water. Place on a cookie sheet.

Pour barbecue sauce in a bowl. Use a tong to dunk each spare rib into the sauce to coat. Place the ribs back on the cookie sheet.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bake the ribs for for two hours. Alternately, set the oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit and bake the ribs for three to four hours, or until fully tender.
