How to Get Character Pictures at Disneyland
Spotting your favorite characters and snapping photos is a fun part of any Disneyland vacation. The characters at Disneyland are happy to pose for photos and sign autographs, you just have to locate the characters you want to meet. You may need to stand in line for some popular characters, but most lines move swiftly. Have your camera ready and you will be able to snap perfect mementos of your Disneyland vacation.

1
Enter Disneyland using your ticket and pick up a theme park map from guest services. Theme park maps are also available at any retail location in Disneyland.
-
2
Look at the theme park map. There are several character greeting locations that are open every day in Disneyland. Select one to visit. You can choose from the Disney Princess Fantasy Fair, Pixie Hollow, Minnie's House or Mickey's House.

-
3
Go to the location you have selected and get in line.
-
4
When you are almost at the front of the line, turn you camera on and get ready to take a picture. If you are using the Photopass system, have your card ready for the photographer.
-
5
When the Disneyland cast member in charge of the photo location tells you to, step up and greet the character. They will greet you, sign your autograph book and pose for photos. The photographer on site will snap Photopass pictures, but they will also snap a picture for you using your camera if you ask them to. This way you can be in the picture, too. Repeat this process for as many of the character locations as you want to visit to collect photos.

Forgot your camera? Take advantage of DIsneyland's free Photopass service at select character locations.
If you want to be sure to see characters, book a character dining experience during your DIsneyland vacation.
Don't approach characters from behind, they will not be able to see you.
Don't cut in line in front of other guests.
Don't wait until the last day of your vacation to try to snap your photos; you may not be able to find all of the characters you want to meet on a single day.
