How to Decorate Invitations

Making a print of your baby's hands is a wonderful keepsake.

Things You'll Need

• Paper (card stock)
• Envelopes
• Scissors
• Washable, non-toxic paint
• Paper plate
• Markers
• Ribbon
• Hole punch
• Large round circle to trace

Instructions

Handprint First Birthday Party Invitations

1. Trace circle shape onto card stock. Cut out circles, then punch one hole near the outside edge of each circle.

2. 

   Brightly colored paper adds dimension to the invitation.

   Write party details on one side of circle.

3. 

   Baby's first birthday is an important occasion to celebrate.

   Place baby's hand in paint on paper plate. Ensure hand is covered in paint.

4. Place hand in center of circle on opposite side of paper from details. Gently rub top of baby's hand so that all fingers and palm are flat on the paper.

5. Thread enough ribbon through hole in circle for guests to hang invitation as a decoration.
