1
Collect several twigs of different sizes and widths. Use your knife in a rocking motion front to back when you start to cut your twigs; this technique makes a groove for you to follow and makes cutting with the saw easier. Cut the twigs into different lengths with your saw.

2
Dry the twigs in the oven at 200-230 degrees for about 30 minutes, or put them outside on a hot day and let them dry naturally. You can apply a wood hardener product, available at hardware stores, to strengthen the twigs.

3
Measure you own furniture and divide your figures by 12 to get your miniature furniture to scale. You also can use other dollhouse furniture as a model for your twig furniture, or draw patterns on paper.
-
4
Position your pieces and secure them with a strong gel glue or craft glue. A gel glue is good for small wood projects because it gives you enough time to get the pieces into position, is less runny than liquid glues and gives a strong bond.

5
Sand any rough spots. Paint your furniture with shellac or spray with a polyurethane coating if you want it to last a long time; thinning the paint will prevent buildup. You can also leave it as is for that appealing rustic look.

Tips & Warnings
Make a furniture pattern out of paper to use when cutting your twigs.
Be careful not to sand your furniture so much that it affects the scale of the piece.
