- Medium or large pine cone
- Newspaper
- Craft glue
- Small paintbrush
- Glitter
- Glitter glue pen (optional)

Protect a work surface with a layer of newspaper.

Cover a medium or large pine cone with craft glue. Place glue just at the cone tips or spread it all over, depending on how much sparkle you want the craft to have. Use a small paintbrush to spread the glue in and around the pine cone's hard-to-reach spots.

Choose glitter featuring convenient shaker-style tops. Sprinkle glitter featuring one or more festive colors, such as silver, gold, red or blue, over the pine cone. Make sure that all of the glue is completely covered with glitter. Allow the glue to dry thoroughly.

Use a glitter glue pen in place of craft glue and loose glitter to decorate the pine cone for easier clean-up.
