How to Use a Nintendo WFC With "Mario Kart"
Nintendo offers two "Mario Kart" games that make use of the brand's Wi-Fi Connection: "Mario Kart DS" and "Mario Kart Wii." The two games offer competitive play with other racers around the world. Each game offers multiple tracks and characters for online play.

Go to the main menu for the Nintendo Wii version. Select "Nintendo WFC" on the bottom left portion of the screen. Choose "Nintendo WFC 1 Player" or "Nintendo WFC 2 Player" depending on how many players are using your console. Choose "Worldwide" or "Regional" to select your WFC mode. Select "Friends" to play with any friends that are online, create a new room to host a race or register other friends using his or her Friend Code.

Select a "VS" or "Battle" game on the next screen for "Worldwide" or "Regional" selections. Select your character, kart and drift mode to continue. Vote on the course or stage you would like to compete in and wait for the results. Confirm the race to begin your game.

Go to the main menu for the DS version of the game. Select "Nintendo WFC." Choose "Nintendo WFC Match" and wait for a screen that shows "Friends" to appear. Continue to select mode and gameplay selections. Use the "Friends" button to find registered friends to race or battle.
