How to Make Instant Cappuccino
A classic cappuccino is prized by any coffee lover, but the price of café cappuccinos might deter some people from drinking the hot beverage. Make instant cappuccino mix in your own home if you'd like to enjoy a cup every day without spending too much money. You can also add the mix to classic desserts, such as coffee cake, to give it a tasty twist. Does this Spark an idea?

- ¼ tsp. nutmeg
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
- ½ cup sugar
- ¾ cup instant coffee granules
- 1 cup powder hot chocolate
- 1 cup non-dairy creamer
- Mixing bowl

- 10 oz. milk chocolate
- 1 ½ tbsp. instant cappuccino mix
- ½ cup butter
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
- ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup confectioners sugar
- 2 tbsp. coffee liqueur

Combine the nutmeg, cinnamon, sugar, instant coffee, hot chocolate mix and non-dairy creamer into the mixing bowl. Stir with a spoon until all the ingredients are well blended and there are no clumps in the mix.

Pour the mix into a well-sealed jar. Add 2 to 3 tbsp. per serving, or 8 fluid oz., to hot water. Stir well and top off with whipped cream for a creamier taste.

Enjoy your coffee blend solo, or use it to make holiday gifts for seasonal parties. Divide the mix between several small jars or plastic bags. Tie with festive ribbon and give your flavorful cappuccino blend to friends and family.
Cappuccino Coffee Cake

Use your homemade cappuccino mix in baked goods, such as cappuccino coffee cake. Heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease the inside of the cake pan and line with parchment paper.

Combine the milk chocolate and cappuccino mix in the saucepan and heat on the stove. Stir frequently. Beat the butter until it has a fluffy texture. Add the sugar slowly into the butter while continuously beating it. Add the eggs and tablespoon of vanilla extract. Add the chocolate and cappuccino mixture from the stove. Mix well and include the salt, cinnamon and flour.

Enjoy your cappuccino cake with a fresh cup of coffee. Pour the cappuccino coffee batter into the pan and place in the oven. Bake for 30 minutes. Whisk ¼ cup of sugar and the coffee liqueur in a separate bowl. Top the cappuccino cake with this mixture and serve.

Tips & Warnings
Consider adding dried orange peel, ginger or vanilla powder to your mix for extra flavor.
Experiment with your cappuccino mix; add it to cupcake and cookie recipes and sprinkle some on top of pies to provide a crunchy topping.
