1
Lay a bill flat on a table. Fold the bill into 1/4-inch strips lengthwise and crease firmly. Repeat this action with the remaining bills.
-
2
Lay two of the strips side by side on the table. Weave two of the remaining strips through the first two.
Push the woven square as tightly together as possible. Center the woven portion in exact middle of the strips and slip a paper clip on the group to hold the weave together.

3
Fold all the ends upward to form the side strips of the basket. Crease the folds firmly.
-
4
Make a square ring out of one of the three remaining bills. Insert one end of the bill strip into the other end to keep the bill in a square shape. Crease each corner of the square firmly. Repeat this step with one more strip.
-
5
Place the squares, one at a time, over the side strips of the basket, weaving the side strips around the square. Repeat with the remaining square.
-
6
Fold the ends of the side strips down and tuck them under the weaving on the bottom of the basket to secure the rim of the basket.
-
7
Insert the end of the last strip in one side of the basket and secure it under a weave. Insert the free end of the strip into the opposite side of the basket and secure it under the weave, creating the basket handle.
