How to Read Nintendo DS Game Cards

The Nintendo DS is a handheld game system that comes in many forms like the original DS, the DS Lite, the DSi and the DS XL. Nintendo DS game cards are how games are sold and are used by the DS game systems. In order to read a Nintendo DS game card you must have a working Nintendo DS.

Things You'll Need

• Nintendo DS, DS Lite, DSi or DS XL

Instructions

1. Place the Nintendo DS game card into the slot on the back of the Nintendo DS game console. It is called "Slot 1." Make sure the sticker on the game card is facing away from the Nintendo DS.

2. Push the game card into the slot until it clicks in place.

3. Turn on the Nintendo DS. The power switch is on the right hand side of the system.

4. Open the Nintendo DS to play the game.
