How to Plan an All-Inclusive Honeymoon on a Resort
An all-inclusive honeymoon can be a relaxing, stress-free experience for a newlywed couple. After the work involved in planning a wedding, an all-inclusive vacation provides just what newlyweds need: some alone time in which the couple does not have to think about dieting, pleasing family or spending money. On an all-inclusive resort, basic amenities such as food, beverages and beach towels are provided free of charge, however, additional services may be purchased at a cost.

1
Determine the budget for your all-inclusive honeymoon. When determining this budget, consider the costs for the resort, airfare, excursions, spa treatments and tips for employees outside of the resort.
-
2
Research all-inclusive resorts. There are many available resorts in tropical areas, such as Jamaica, St. Lucia and the Bahamas. If you are interested in visiting well-known resorts, go to websites such as Sandals.com and Couples.com. Both companies have multiple, all-inclusive resort options.

3
Call the companies that own the resorts that you are interested in visiting. Ask about the best time to book your honeymoon. Ask for any special deals that are currently being offered or will be offered in the future. Also, inquire about any free extras that are offered to couples on their honeymoons. For example, Sandals offers a free honeymoon package, which includes flower petals on the bed and a free breakfast in bed. Confirm that the resort provides transportation to and from the airport and the resort. Note that you will likely be asked to tip your bus or cab driver, so be prepared to do so.
-
4
Book your all-inclusive honeymoon. You can do this online or by phone. With certain resorts, can book your airplane flight at the same time as your honeymoon.
-
5
Research spa services, excursions and other extras that can be added to your honeymoon package at an additional cost. Select the add-on services and offerings that you want.
You can sign up for excursions and services while at the resort, however, you risk missing out on your preferred activities in the case that they sell out. In addition, booking your extras in advance ensures that you do not have to worry about making plans while enjoying your honeymoon.
-
6
Ensure that your passport is valid and up to date. You will need this to travel outside of the country. Also, make sure you have a credit card that can be used outside of your home country.
-
7
Pack for your honeymoon. You will need plenty of casual clothing and bathing suit options. You will also need formal clothing for high end dinners and for photography sessions. Should you choose to play golf, you may need appropriate attire for this activity as well.
-
8
Pack carry-on bags for your flight. Bring any necessary medications, several forms of identification, entertainment materials and cash. Also, bring information about your resort, including your resort's name, your intended arrival date and any other booking information.
