How to Make Pearl Hoop Earrings Yourself
Making your own pearl hoop earrings is a way to ensure your earrings are unique. You can also display your creativity and taste by using different colors and shapes of pearls on the same earring. Found in most craft stores, you can choose between cultured, or man-made, pearls of nearly every color, or you can buy beads that have been made to look like pearls. There are also several different shapes of pearls from which to choose. Pick round pearls for a classic look; use button pearls, which are round and slightly flattened; or use carved pearls for added enhancement.

1
Slightly straighten the 45-degree angle ends of the hoops using the chain-nose pliers. This will make threading the pearls easier. Note that the opposite ends of the wires will contain loops through which you will place the angled end of the wires when finished.
-
2
Choose the pearls you want for each earring and make two piles: one for the left earring and one for the right earring. Ensure the pearls are as uniform as possible. If you're using pearls with pre-drilled holes, try to choose pearls that have about the same size hole so they'll hang evenly from the wires.

3
Thread the pearls onto the wires in the order you prefer. If you are using different sizes or colors to make a design, make sure you do the same for both earrings.
-
4
Bend the end of the wire back to its original position of a 45-degree angle using the chain-nose pliers.
-
5
Feel the tips of the 45-degree angle wires to see if they are smooth. File with an emery board if they are not so threading the wires through your ears will be more comfortable.
