How to Apply for the Sonja Hoel Perkins Scholarship
The Sonja Hoel Perkins Scholarship is awarded to one deserving African American student from the Charlottesville, Virginia area who is a full-time student at the University of Virginia. The scholarship covers a full four years of tuition, housing, books and fees and falls under the umbrella of the Holland-Blackburn Scholars program at the University of Virginia. All students who meet the basic eligibility requirements are automatically considered for the scholarship when they apply to the University of Virginia. Selection of the scholarship recipient, however, is based on scholastic achievement, demonstrated leadership ability and financial need.
