How to Sync Mac Notes to an iPhone
The iOS 4 software update for the iPhone allows you to use MobileMe to keep notes in sync between the MobileMe Notes application on your iPhone and Mac OS X Mail. Over-the-air syncing of notes occurs whenever you open the Notes app on your iPhone or in Mac OS X Mail.

Prepare Your iPhone

Tap "Settings" > "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" on your iPhone.

Enter your MobileMe account information if you have not already done so and then tap your MobileMe account.

Tap the switch for Notes to turn on over-the-air notes syncing.

Return to the home screen and tap "Settings" > "Mail, Contacts, Calendars," and then scroll all the way to the bottom. Set the Default Account for Notes to your MobileMe account.
Prepare Your Mac

Make sure all your notes are saved to MobileMe and accessible on your iPhone. Open the Mail application on your Mac. From the Mail menu, choose "Preferences" and then click the "Composing" tab.

Change your "Create notes and to dos in" setting by selecting your MobileMe account from the drop-down menu. Then close the "Mail Preferences" window.

Move the notes saved On My Mac to MobileMe in order to access them from your iPhone. In the Mail application on your Mac, click the triangle next to Notes. Then click the On My Mac notes folder, if you have one.

Select the existing notes you want to sync, and drag them into your MobileMe notes folder.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure that all new notes you create on your iPhone are created in MobileMe.
Local notes, such as those in the "From My PC" or "On My iPhone" folders, and notes stored in other IMAP accounts (Gmail for example), are not synced with MobileMe Notes. Only notes in the MobileMe folder will be automatically synced over the air.
Notes are not synced from Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange via MobileMe.
