How to Use Your MicroSD Card in Your Blackberry 8800
The BlackBerry 8800 features a microSD slot that allows a user to add removable media in the form of a microSD card to their BlackBerry smart phones. The BlackBerry 8800 also features the ability to insert the microSD without removing the battery or powering down the handset. Users can add movies, music, photos and other data to their BlackBerry 8800 using the removable microSD card slot.

Remove the back cover of your BlackBerry 8800 to access the battery and microSD card holder.

Slide the microSD holder towards the top of the device. You can now flip the holder up to a standing position.

Insert the microSD card with the contacts pointing down and facing inward. Once the microSD holder has been closed, the contacts should no longer be exposed.

Close the microSD holder and slide it in the opposite direction to lock it again.

Put the back cover back on your phone. Once your phone has started up again, you will be prompted if you would like to use the microSD as a mass media storage device. Select "Yes" from the options. When you connect your BlackBerry to your computer again via USB cable, you will have the ability to transfer photos, movies and music directly to the card. Your BlackBerry will be located under "Devices with Removable Storage" in "My Computer."

Since the microSD is removable, you can also connect it directly to your computer using a microSD USB or SD card reader to transfer any data and files to your BlackBerry.
