2
Pick candy according to the party color scheme or theme. Use a mix of pink or blue gum balls, gum drops and jelly beans for a baby shower. Choose different shades of rock candy and candy rings when decorating a bridal shower. Go with a mix of vibrantly hued candy, such as candy-coated chocolates, gummy worms, Sweet Tarts, Life Savers and lollipops for a child's birthday party.

Fill the glass jars with the candy. Use a separate jar for each candy color, or mix the goodies up to create a rainbow effect. Add different colored jelly beans to a jar in layers for a creative look. Bundle sticks of rock candy or lollipops and tie them with ribbons to create mini candy bouquets prior to placing them into the jars.

Line the jars up down the center of the party table to create a candy buffet. Stagger the jar heights for a varied look. Place some of the jars on decorative props, such as vintage books, crystal cake stands or wrapped gift boxes to add height and visual interest.

5
Place a small metal or plastic scoop next to each candy jar so guests can fill goody bags after the celebration.
