How to Create Health Potions in "Oblivion"
"The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" casts you in the role of a warrior or mage who can take on many different abilities. One of the most useful abilities you can focus on is alchemy. With a high alchemy level, you can create a variety of potions that can poison enemies, restore fatigue or heal. Health potions, when created, restore health over a period of time. You can create more effective potions as you level up your alchemy skill, allowing you to heal more at a faster rate.

1
Obtain a Mortar and Pestle by purchasing, finding or stealing one. This is all you need to make potions. However, you may use additional equipment to enhance the potions. Other alchemy tools include the Retort, the Calcinarator and the Alembic.

2
Open your inventory and scroll down to select the Mortar and Pestle. If you own other alchemy equipment, it is automatically used with the Mortar and Pestle. With the potion making screen open, you must now choose your ingredients.

Make a Novice level health potion by selecting Lady's Smock Mantle and Cairn Bolete Cap. Press the "Make Potion" button to add the potion to your inventory.

4
Make an Apprentice level health potion by using Aloe Vera Leaves and Lady's Smock Leaves. Apprentice level gives you the ability to see more properties of your ingredients. As you level up, you are able to see increasingly more properties.
-
5
Level up your alchemy skill to use additional items in health potion making. You may eventually be able to choose from Boar Meat, Ambrosia, Ham, Venison, Mugwort Seeds and Daedra Heart.
