How to Connect a ReplayTV to a Cable Box

ReplayTV is a digital video recording service that DirecTV now owns. ReplayTV digital video recorders (DVRs) connect to the cable or satellite receiver box for recording television programming from the source and to a TV for playback of the recordings. Use component or high definition media interface (HDMI) cables to hook up the DVR to the receiver and to a TV. A separate phone jack connects the ReplayTV component to pay-per-view services.
