Instructions

    • 1

Measure and combine the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl. Add the milk and honey to the dry ingredients and stir the ingredients with the wooden spoon until the ingredients are smooth.

    • 2

Line the baking sheet with the parchment paper.

    • 3

Place the dough into the center of the parchment paper and cover the parchment paper with a sheet of plastic wrap of equal size.

    • 4

Roll out the dough with the rolling pin, using the plastic wrap to prevent the dough from sticking to the rolling pin. Continue rolling the dough until it covers the entire baking sheet -- the dough will be very thin.

    • 5

Remove the plastic wrap and bake the dough at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for five minutes. Check the dough after this time -- continue baking until it looks slightly browned on the edges and done in the center.

    • 6

Allow the bran cereal to cool on the baking sheet.

    • 7

Use the rolling pin to break up the bran cereal on the baking sheet. Roll the rolling pin over the cereal to break it up into small pieces. Use your hands to break apart the cereal also, if you wish. Continue working the cereal until it is in small "flakes," similar to the flakes in a box of bran flakes.

    • 8

Reduce the oven temperature to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

    • 9

Keep the bran flakes on the baking sheet and return them to the oven. Bake the bran flakes for about 15 minutes, stirring them every few minutes to prevent burning and to help them crisp.

    • 10

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and cool the bran cereal completely.

    • 11

Add the raisins to the cereal and store it in a sealed plastic container for one to two weeks.
