Add information to your iPhoto prints to provide just the right touch.

Apple's iPhoto provides an easy way to organize and print the perfect photos for your collection. However, iPhoto software doesn't provide the easiest way to add text or photo information to image prints. It isn't difficult to use iPhoto software to place the perfect text on your next photo prints.

Instructions

  1. Adding Photo Information to iPhoto Prints

    • 1

Open iPhoto. Create a new photo album by clicking the + sign in the bottom-left corner. Name the album appropriately.

    • 2

Drag the desired images to the newly created album on the left sidebar. Select the album in the left sidebar. Click "Book" on the bottom panel. Choose "Contemporary" from the list of styles. Click "Settings" from the bottom panel, and uncheck "Show page numbers."

    • 3

Click the right arrow twice on the bottom panel to scroll past the title and front flap pages. Click "Layout" on the bottom panel. Click "Introduction" and select the second option -- the plain text page.

    • 4

Click "Background" from the bottom panel and select the third option, "Photo Background." Drop the desired photo into the background.

    • 5

Type the desired text for the current image. To adjust the placement of the text, add or reduce lines above or below the pasted text. To change the font, hit "Command T" or go to "Edit" > "Font" > "Show Font" and adjust the font accordingly.

    • 6

Repeat this process with the rest of the photos, adding pages by clicking "Add Pages" from the bottom panel.

    • 7

Click "Print" from the "File" menu. From the print menu, click "PDF" and "Save PDF to iPhoto." iPhoto will then save your images with text in a new album on the left sidebar. You may now print your pictures with photo information without ordering or organizing photos into a book.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use TextEdit to write and adjust text snippets, then copy and paste into iPhoto for easier additions.
