1
Accent with colorful, vibrant throw pillows, cushions and throw blankets. Find a color that pops, such as orange, navy blue or red to contrast the white furniture, or mix colored accessories such as yellow and orange for an even more dramatic look. Choose pop-art wall art pieces that often have vivid colors in them.

2
Accessorize white furniture to create a blue and white nautical or beach theme. Striped white and blue pillows or cushions work well on white sofas or chairs. Choose wall art that has blue undertones and is reminiscent of the beach or water. Pink starfish, shells and other accessories can also add to the nautical or beach theme. Select anchor or seashell knobs for white tables, dressers or other furniture pieces that have drawers.

Decorate with items that are white or off-white colors to create a luxurious, airy feel to your room. Choose pillows, cushions, rugs, lampshades or ornate mirror frames that are white, antique white or off-white. Select different textured materials for contrast. To add a little bit of color, select white or off-white accessories that have a secondary pastel or subtle color in them, such as light sage green or baby blue.

4
Select gray or soft brown accessories to create a New England feel to your space. A light brown trunk used as a coffee table for your white sofa or gray vases filled with white flowers work well. Add pillows that have gray, brown and white patterns.

5
Accessorize white furniture with items from an antique shop or second hand shop. For example, decorate with a stack of three old books on an end table, throw a handmade quilt across the back of a chair, or display empty wood frames on an accent wall.
