How to Wash a Build a Bear
Many children become attached to their stuffed animals, taking them everywhere. Since children are not typically careful with their toys, these stuffed animals generally become dirty and must be washed. Most stuffed animals can be washed in a pillow case in the washing machine. However, Build a Bear stuffed animals cannot--they must be washed differently.

Tips & Warnings
Mild soap and a damp wash cloth can be used to clean the stuffed animal rather than buying the special spray.
Do not wash any Build a Bear animal in the washing machine. The type of stuffing used in a Build a Bear expands when wet and can result in the seams splitting. Voice boxes in the animals are also damaged when wet. Some of the animals may also lose their fur in a washing machine.

Thank you for the insightful information. I was really concerned about the voice boxes, I really wanted to know why the seam would pop, and I wanted a good alternative to the Build a Bear spray. Wiki recommended a sort of roll it in the soap water thing but that seems like too much work, so the towel suggestion is perfect. Thanks!
