To unclog a drain without damaging the pipes, use Clorox bleach. The bleach will clean all the mildew, hair and other items possibly clogging the drain.       Remove the stopper from the drain at night before you go to bed.

      Pour about 12 oz. of Clorox down the drain. Allow the bleach to soak into the pipes overnight.

      Flush the drain with hot water, thoroughly, the next morning.
