Apply topical medications to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The active ingredients in anti-wrinkle cream should be retinol, kinetin, coenzyme Q10, antioxidants, alpha hydroxy acids or copper peptides. Prescription creams will have higher concentrations than over the counter medications and are more likely to show an improvement.

Make an appointment with a dermatologist to discuss in-patient options available at the clinic. Dermatologists may suggest dermabrasian or microdermabrasian to sand down different amounts of the skin's top layer. Laser treatments or chemical peels also remove the top layer of skin which heals to show a new, firmer, less-wrinkled layer.

Inject botox for fine lines on forehead, frown lines between the eyebrows or crow's feet at the corners of the eyes. Botox prevents muscles from contracting by blocking the chemical signals. When muscles cannot contract, the skin stays flat and appears less wrinkled. Botox results last three to four months before the patient needs a new injection.

Discuss soft tissue fillers with a doctor. Soft tissue fillers are a quick healing procedure that involves injecting collagen, fat and hyaluronic acid. Unlike botox, soft tissue fillers target deep wrinkles and plump up the skin to eliminate their appearance. This procedure also has to be repeated every few months.
