How to Get Missing Books in "Zelda: Minish Cap"
In order to obtain the Power Bracelets in "The Legend of Zelda," it's important that you complete the "Missing Book" quest within The Minish Cap. Although an extended quest, each book can be found in the home of the person who originally checked it out at the Hyrule Town Library.

Talk to the librarian at the Hyrule Town Library in order to learn about the "Missing Book" quest.

Find "A Hyrulian Bestiary," the first book. It is checked out to a girl with a cat, who lives south of the library. There are two connected houses, one with a blue roof and one with a purple roof. You will find the book in the house with the blue roof. Head back to the library to return this missing book.

Find "Legend of Picori," which is apparently checked out by a scholar, Dr. Left, who lives in Hyrule Town. Once you receive the book from him, return it to the librarian to get information on the third book.

Locate "The History of Masks," which was checked out from the library by Mayor Hagen. He lives east of the library. His house has a yellow roof.

Obtain Power Bracelets which will increase Link's strength, and allow him to move, lift and push heavier items that he couldn't before. This is the benefit of completing the "Missing Book" quest for the librarian.
