How to Roast Pork on Top of the Stove
There are variety of ways to make a juicy and flavorful pork. But there's nothing better than a roast pork for a dinner party or family get together. Things You'll Need
- 2 pound pork roast
- 1 clove garlic,minced
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- 3/4 cup olive oil
- 3/4 cup red wine
- 2 1/2 cup water

In a large sauce pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Place the pork in the pan and sear it on all sides until well browned. Remove the roast and set aside.

In the same pot, saute the minced garlic for 2 minutes. Add the salt and pepper and saute for 1 minute. Return the pork to the pan and pour in the red wine and water. Sprinkle on more salt and pepper to taste and top the roast with more garlic.

Over high heat, bring pork roast to a boil, cover with a lid and reduce heat to medium low. Simmer roast for 2.5 to 3 hours, turning the roast over halfway through the cooking time. Mix in carrots and potatoes an hour before the roast is finished.
