The Mexican Counsel of San Jose California was established in 1968 as a career counsel due to the increase of the Mexican population in San Jose. The career counsel closed in 1971 because of its close proximity to the General Counsel of San Francisco. It was re-opened in 1973. Now the General Counsel maintains relations with several organizations and agencies that serve to benefit the Mexican community in San Jose California. The Mexican Counsel of San Jose helps Mexican citizens obtain many of their legal documents such as birth, marriage and death certificates, green cards, and passports. You can gather all the information you need on-line to obtain your Mexican passport, but you cannot make an appointment on-line.
