Use a playful picture of your dog for the invitation.

Print multiple copies of your dog's picture. They should be small prints, about half the size of the note cards you will be using. For example, if your note cards are 4-inches by 5-inches, the picture should be no more than 2-inches by 3-inches. You will need enough copies for each invitation you want to send.

Cut a piece of light colored paper just larger than the photo size. Glue the photo onto the paper then glue this onto the note card. When placing the photo onto the note card, be sure to leave enough room for writing on the front of the card.

Print the "title" of the party on the front of the card next to the photo. Make it appear as if your dog is talking to the invitee. Wording like "There's a Paw-ty going on!" or "The dog days are here" is a great way to introduce the theme of the party.

    • 4

Print the information about the party on the inside of the note card. Include date, time, location and if the invitee is allowed to bring a human. Address the invitation to the fuzzy member of the household being invited to keep to the theme of the party.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep the dog party theme going by creating dog bone cookies for both humans and animals, a fire hydrant or tree shaped cake and gifts that the dogs can play with.

  • Make sure that all the dogs invited to the party know each other and do not fight. Keep a close eye on all the animals and allow them to run relatively free as long as they play well together. Contact your local doggy day care or humane society for more tips on having a dog party and what to be alert for.
