How to Transfer Your Cricket Number to a New Phone

This service can be done within your current carrier, or when transferring your phone service to a new mobile service provider. The process of porting your new phone number can be instant, or take several days to complete -- depending on the current and new carrier networks.

Instructions

1. Contact the mobile phone provider to which you would like to have your phone number switched. You can visit the company in person or contact them over the phone. When you contact them, be prepared to provide them with your ten-digit mobile number, your mobile phone account number and your phone's zip code.

2. Notify the customer service agent for the new company that you would like to transfer your phone number to your new mobile phone. Provide the customer service representative with the serial number of your new phone for activation.

3. Provide your payment to the new mobile phone provider for any fees associated with the activation of your new mobile phone.
